While
this study might seem like a dream come true for some, it also requires
you to keep your head at a 6 degree decline the entire time. Also,
getting out of bed for any reason is not allowed. Eating, bathing, and
using the restroom all must take place in the bed. All you need to do is
grab some books, movies, video games, or whatever activity you’d like
and let scientists observe you atrophy for three months.
While in space, astronauts have a difficult time getting the amount of
physical activity required, and their bodies start to atrophy. Depending
on the individual, it can take months to get rehabilitated once they
are back on the surface of Earth. Sleep studies allow scientists to
observe the effects of inactivity on the body, and also to understand
what the body needs to reintegrate to normal life.
Though it
seems counterintuitive, couch potatoes need not apply for the sleep
study. Participants must be in shape beforehand. NASA is seeking healthy
non-smokers who can pass the Modified Air Force Class III physical
examination.

HW
1. Do you think humans will need to move to another
planet? Why or why not?
Yes, humans need to find another planet that is eligible to live on
it. Earth is coming full of people day after day, and it loses its sources
every day. In addition, disasters are increased by the time due to what we have
done in the earth.
2. If it does happen that some humans move to another planet, would you volunteer to go? Why or why not?
2. If it does happen that some humans move to another planet, would you volunteer to go? Why or why not?
Yes, I would like to be in another planet that looks like the earth
but without wars, disasters, criminals … etc. In addition, technology will be
more progressed if we find that planet and that means the travelling between
earth and the new planet will be easier.
3. Read this article about people who have signed up to move to Mars: http://www.cnn.com/2013/08/09/tech/innovation/mars-one-applications/index.html What is your reaction to this story?
3. Read this article about people who have signed up to move to Mars: http://www.cnn.com/2013/08/09/tech/innovation/mars-one-applications/index.html What is your reaction to this story?
I will not sign for this kind of sacrifice because it is all about
assumptions and nothing is certain. The planet must already have the essential
things that are important to live in another planet.
4. What do you think Ray Bradbury wanted the readers of
"All Summer in a Day" to understand? What did you think after
reading this story?
- We are reminded by the writer to appreciate the simple things on
life, because if we lost some of these things, we would feel that we lose a big
part from our life.
- Keep calm and don’t lose faith. Whatever the circumstances we
will find what we want and what we looking at.

Ibrahim Alabri
Hello!
My name is Ibrahim Salim Alabri, this is my first time to have my own blog. actually, I don't like programming and stuff like that :(.
I was born in Alhamra, a small village in Oman, and I have never lived in another place. Alhamra is the best village in Oman, so no one wants to leave this fantastic, fascinating, and great village. Alhamra is one of the most places in Oman that has a lot of places that tourists can spend their time their. My hometown is surrounded by mountains so that makes this village different than other village in Oman. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSKumPvUdoM this link can show you a little bit about Alhamra. I hope everyone in this class will have an opportunity to come to Oman and visit Alhamra for a few days.
Studying overseas was my dream when I was in the 10th grade, so I worked very hard to pursue my dream because in Oman getting a scholarship is not an easy thing. Students have to have 95% at least in the last year in the high school in order to apply for a scholarship. I got more than 95% so the ministry of high education opened the door for me to apply for a scholarship. After I was accepted in a scholarship, I had to choose which country is better to pursue my dream. There were many choices but finally chose the United State because I think it is the best country for studying Chemical Engineering.
